FIELD: determining small amounts of rhenium in oil for further use in predicting metal-bearing capacity of oil fields. SUBSTANCE: method involves burning several charges of the analyzed oil sample in a calorimetric bomb and the resulting residue is transferred into SULFURIC acid solution. Then hydrochloric acid is introduced and the quantitative content of oxochloride complexes is registered by the difference of reverse times of nuclear magnetic relaxation of solution measured before and after photochemical reaction. EFFECT: possibility of determining small amounts of rhenium in oil.
