FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: petroleum coke is ground up to maximal particle size 100 mcm and subjected for thermic treatment at 380-420 C at air feeding for 2-6 h. Leaching is carried out in sulfuric acid solution for 2-3 h at ratio solid:liquid = 1:3-5 at temperature 90-100 C. EFFECT: improved method of vanadium extraction. 1 tbl
