FIELD: oil and fat industry. SUBSTANCE: fat raw material is saponified with aqueous solution of soda ash in rotary-film apparatus with subsequent complete saponification with aqueous solution of caustic soda, treatment with hot water and NaCl solution, settling to separate soap base, drying under vacuum and milling. Carbonate saponification is carried out under conditions ensuring value of Euler's criterion within 500-2000 at temperature of 100-180 C and concentration of aqueous solution of soda ash of 20-24 mas.%.
