FIELD: concentration of minerals; centrifugal gravitational heavy-medium separators; may be also used in concentration of medium ores in heavy media. SUBSTANCE: separator has circular bath 3 and tangential loading chutes 5 and 6 for suspension provided with upper chutes 7 for starting material which are mounted at an angle of 20 to 25 deg relative to chutes 5 and 6 located below upper edge of bath by 1/10 of its depth. Vertical plates bent in involute pattern are mounted in bath 3. Rowing device 9 is mounted above them. Starting material is mixed with suspension and is fed to bath 3. Floating material is directed to conical screen 6 by means of plate 8 and rowing device 9 and after dewatering it is discharged from separator. Sunken material is discharged through device 10.
