FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: nuclear reactor has vessel mounting in a spaced relation core surrounded by cylindrical shell forming, together with vessel, downtake coolant channel. Swivel coolant chamber placed under core has at least one flat horizontal spacing insert with central bore. Swivel chamber is provided with guide insert whose cylindrical part abuts with its top end shell and is restricted at bottom by adjacent flat slab with central bore and by at least two horizontal rows of spiral ribs mounted heightwise of chamber, respectively, in gaps between vessel bottom and spacing inserts as well as between spacing insert and flat slab of guide insert. Spiral ribs have opposing direction of involution in adjacent rows; spacing insert is provided in addition with central shell joined with its flat portion and placed in downtake channel between vessel and core shell.
