FIELD: nuclear technology. SUBSTANCE: boiling shell-type water-moderated reactor has active zone made up of parallel steam-generating casettes, traction sector above active zone and cold and hot down pipe channels separated from one another by dividing shell with separating chamber positioned under active zone. Traction sector is in the form of individual traction tubes mounted above steam-generating casettes. Traction tubes are fastened in tube grating with rim forming trap of caught steam with outlet tubes. Traction sector is connected to entry chamber of hot and cold down pipe channels by overflow openings made in the form of cone-shaped shell mounted above tube grating on its perimeter. In the entry chamber between body of reactor and tube grating along perimeter of the body is mounted deflector made in the form of concave perforated surface whose radius of curvature is determined by distance from the body to rim of tube grating. Top edge of deflector adjoins to body of reactor on the level of rim of tube grating. Feeding water distribution device is in the form of tubes with vertical end sections having on side surface outlet perforated holes on the side of cold down pipe channel and positioned between deflector and face of separation shell. Bottom part of distribution chamber has holes. Reactor is also provided with shield with rim and bubble-free extension pieces in the form of tubes with swirl cones and perforation in top part for withdrawal of separated fluid. Bottom part of edge of rim of shield adjoins to top bigger base of cone-shaped shell with overflow openings. Under shield in space between its rim and bottom perforated sections of bubble-free extension pieces there are outlet ends of withdrawal pipes of trap of caught steam. Shield with rim is mounted lower than nominal level of water so that perforation in top part of bubble-free extension pieces is located higher than nominal level of water in the body of reactor.
