FIELD: timber industry. SUBSTANCE: logger has self-propelled chassis 1, boom 2 with gripping and cutting device 3, load carrying device 4, assortment accumulator 5, detachable container 6. Links 18 of load carrying device are made turnable, with front ends hinge-connected with cross beam 15 by means of tie-rods 19 and other ends, connected with load lifting hooks 20. Links 18 are hinge-connected with load lifting hooks 20. Upper projections of hooks are spring-loaded and engage with stops 23 of longitudinal tie-rods 24 also hinge-connected on sections 9 of boom 2 of load carrying device 4, forming, together with links 18, pantograph mechanism 26. Bottom of container 6 is made form of wings 27 which can be opened and closed. After cutting a tree and setting section 9 in required position, knots are cut off and tree is bucked in assortments which are fed to detachable container 6. The work done, detachable container 6 filled up with assortments is placed on vehicle for transportation by means of boom 2 and load lifting hooks 20.
