TURBINE GAS BURNER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: burning of gaseous fuel. SUBSTANCE: burner has housing with inlet air supply converging section. Mounted along axis of housing is hollow shaft holding fan secured on it and detachable outlet circular attachment provided with chamber made in form of converging-diverging profile. Attachment is provided over its periphery with perforated radial blades of gas turbine and end bottom on whose outside ceramic blank is fitted; ceramic blank is also detachable. Fixed inside shaft 4 is gas supply pipe provided with outlet detachable contracting nozzle which is received by interior of attachment. Gas supply pipe is secured in inlet section by means of detachable circular flange and profiles radial blades. Bearings mounted on gas supply pipe are engageable with shaft whose section before attachment is perforated and is provided with holes; blades may be set at different angles relative to their own radial axis. During operation of burner, low inlet resistance, prompt start of fan, avoidance of clogging of bearings are ensured due to converging inlet section with rounded-off edges of profiled blades.
