FIELD: gas and oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: gel-forming grouting mortar for shutoff of water influx contains, mas.%: carboxymethyl cellulose 3.5-4.0; iron cloride 0.5-0.6; sodium carbonate 0.1-0.2; gelling agent (mixture of HCl:KCl= 1:1) 1.2-1.4; the balance, water. Carboxymethyl cellulose is mixed with aqueous solution of sodium carbonate. Acid solution of iron chloride is prepared. Added to aqueous solution of iron chloride is mixture of HCl and KCl. Alkaline solution of polymer is mixed with acid solution of iron chloride. Compound characteristics: water - and gas-permeability none; static shear strength is increased in 10 min by 2.3-3.1 times; dynamic viscosity in 2 h 430-695 Pa s; shrinkage in fresh water nnone.
