FIELD: quantum electronics, possible use in flow-through gas lasers of mixing type, in particular, in mixing gas-dynamical laser.

SUBSTANCE: method includes feeding emitting gas and relaxant gas into flow of energy-bearing gas in pre-critical area of ultrasound nozzle. Emitting gas and relaxant gas are fed in form of ultrasound jets in the same direction as energy-carrying gas flow. Transverse size of jets is set no more than size of critical section of nozzle. Also, emitting gas and relaxant gas may be fed separately in form of alternating jets, or the lighter gas is fed lower along flow then, the heavier gas.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of laser by decreasing losses of stored energy during mixing process.
