FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical-photographic industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing hyperclose-grained orthochromatic halogen-silver photographic emulsion. Method involves emulsification, addition of 5-methyl-7-hydroxy-1,3,4-triazaindolicine as a stabilizing agent, cooling, washing out and addition of merocyanine dye as a spectral sensitizing agent of the formula: , wherein Y means oxygen or sulfur atom; A means hydrogen atom, methyl, ethyl, ethoxy-group, phenyl; B means methyl ethyl, benzyl, phenyl, phenyl substituted with halogen atoms, nitro-group, difluoromethylsulfonyl group or sulfo-group at para-position, benzthiazolyl, thiazolyl; R and R' mean methyl, ethyl, n-butyl, sulfoalkyl group, carboxyalkyl group, carbosopropyloxyamyl group. The proposed method provides enhancing photosensitivity and resolving power of the prepared emulsion.
EFFECT: improved preparing method, enhanced and valuable properties of emulsion.
