FIELD: photographic materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for production of ultrafine-grained bromoiodosilver photographic emulsion having average silver halogenide microcrystal size of 0.005-0.01 mum. Claimed method includes single-jet emulsifying at silver ion excess and pBr = 8.0-8.3 after process finishing; concentration by freezing method followed by thawing and washing; adjusting pH to 7.3; chemical sensitizing and spectral sensitizing with dyes from merocyaninocyanine group. Method for spectral sensitizing includes emulsion dividing onto two parts: in 50-70 % part (based on emulsion weight) dyes selected from group containing 3-ethyl-3'-γ-sulfopropyl-4-keto-4'-phenyl-5(1''-γ-sulfopropyldihydroquinolylidene-4''-ethylidene)-thiazolynothiazolocyanine betaine sodium salt; 3-allyl-3'ethyl-4'5'-biphenyl-4-keto-5-(1''-ethylhydroquinolidene-4''-ethylidene)-thiazolynothiazolocyaninethyl sulfate) are introduced; and in 30-50 % part (based on emulsion weight) dyes selected from group containing 1-β-oxyethyl-3-n-propyl-5-(3'-β-carboxyethylbenzoxazolinylidene-2'-ethylidene)-imidazolidinetion-2-on-4, 1-(3-oxyethyl-3-n-propyl-5-(3'-β'-carboxyethylbenzoxazolinylidene-2'-ethylidene-imidazolidinetion-2-on-4 potassium salt are introduced. Halogensilver photographic material sensitive to pulsed laser irradiation is produced by subsequent coating of polymeric substrate with adhesive layer, photosensitive layer made of claimed bromoiodosilver photographic emulsion.

EFFECT: simplified process of emulsion production; photographic material of high sensitivity to pulsed irradiation and diffractive efficiency.
