SUBSTANCE: hydroacoustic echo signal simulator comprises series-connected hydroacoustic echo signal former, modulator and range control unit. The second input of the modulator is connected to the output of a carrier frequency generator, the first input of which is connected to the output of a target velocity sensor, connected in series to a target heading sensor, and the second input of the carrier frequency generator is connected to the output of a sonar carrier velocity sensor, connected in series to a sonar carrier heading sensor. The device further includes series-connected target bearing sensor, phase detector and controlled attenuator, wherein the input of the target bearing sensor is connected to the output of the target heading sensor, and the input of the controlled attenuator is connected to the output of the range control unit.

EFFECT: high accuracy of matching a simulated hydroacoustic echo signal with a real echo signal.
