FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for controlling radiation parameters and is designed to control intensity of collimated (coherent and incoherent) radiation. The device comprises two identical annular photometric wedges (2, 3), placed on the path of an optical beam while allowing synchronous rotation. The photometric wedges (2, 3) are placed on one rotary transparent disc (1) with offset from one another by 180°. A flat mirror (4) is mounted over the plane of the transparent disc (1) perpendicular to the axis thereof. The points of intersection of the axis of the optical beam with the plane of the transparent disc (1) before and after the flat mirror (4) lie on the same diameter of the transparent disc (1) at different sides of the centre thereof and belong to different photometric wedges (2, 3).
EFFECT: fewer errors owing to high uniformity of attenuation, faster operation owing to a simple design.
