FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical devices for measuring angular velocities and displacements. Core: the device comprises annular resonator with leading mirrors (1), active element (2) with quarter-wave plates (3) on its windows and two linear phase plates (4), fixed on leading mirror (1) additional quarter-wave plate (5), separating prism (7), two photodetectors (8), Faraday cell (10). Crystallographic axes of quarter-wave plates (3) are crossed. One of the crystallographic axes of linear phase plates (4) lies in the plane of the resonator, and the other one coincides with the bisector of an angle between axes of quarter-wave plates (3). Crystallographic axes of additional quarter-wave plate (5) coincides with those of one of the main plates (3).
EFFECT: reduced sensitivity to external magnetic fields, improved separation of polarization beams.
