FIELD: surgery. SUBSTANCE: long silk thread is conducted by straight needle under and above varicose vein. After application of sutures, the ends of threads are spread apart and attached to the skin. Sutures are cut off from skin on the 10th day after operation. The thread remains around the constricted vein. The method provides for uniform obliteration of vein throughout its length. EFFECT: reduced frequency of postoperative relapses.
