FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out excochleation of spongy bone in ungual phalanx through articular surface, preserving the tendon fixing points of long extensor, long flexor, resecting in a cone-like manner the distal section of middle phalanx, moving ungual phalanx proximally and slipping it as a thimble on the thumb, on the pointed end of middle phalanx. Tendon fixing points of extensor, flexor and short extensor of the thumb remain intact. EFFECT: restoring anatomical length and retaining the function of the thumb.
