In addition, to augment sound- proofing effect of the cover the matching layer may be created on the surface of the chain members adjacent to working liquid and the partitions may be arranged inside the members to perform the resonant sound attenuation. Another of cover alternatives is the cover where upper surfaces of the chain members are made of sound- insulating material and all other surfaces are made of sound-absorbing material, and where the thickness of the sound absorbing material l1≥ λsurface/4, and the dimension of the sound absorbing surface t1 along the member height is not less than the double value of clearance between the members.
