FIELD: underwater engineering. SUBSTANCE: tug has pressure hull 1 with handles 6, propulsion motor 4 and propulsion complex 5. Aft portion of hull has longitudinal recess 2 with bulkhead 3 whose axis of symmetry "b-b" is shifted downward relative to horizontal axis of symmetry "a-a" of pressure hull. Propulsion motor 4 is mounted in recess 2 within longitudinal clearance limits of hull 1. Tug is provided with skids-supports 7 made integral with handles 6 mounted at angle to longitudinal axis of tug. Projection "c-c" skid axis on centerline and line "d-d" connecting extreme lower points of propeller and hull do not intersect within tug clearance limits. EFFECT: improved service characteristics of tugs due to reduction of length and displacement of tug, facilitated procedure of fore-and-aft trimming on even keel and avoidance to great extent of mechanical loads on hull and propeller. 3 dwg
