FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: simplified apparatus for determining resistance of teat tubes to radial expansion has hollow housing for securing to it a teat tube with measuring device in the form of tubular member with micrometer screw and axial duct, connecting a cavity, formed by the teat tube and the housing, with a vacuum source. The measuring device is secured to the housing normally relative to the teat tube axis with possibility of lengthwise motion. Upon connecting the apparatus with the vacuum source the teat tube is being deformed by action of difference of pressures at its outer and inner sides till it engagement with an end of the micrometer screw of the measuring device. A value of vacuum, causing a predetermined radial deformation of the teat tube, is registered by vacuum meter, connected with an interwall space. A deformation value is being evaluated with the aid of a limb of the micrometer screw. With use of several values of deformation and vacuum a functional dependance is being draught for evaluating a quality of the teat tube.
