FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, milking equipment.
SUBSTANCE: double-mode milking apparatus has two-chamber milking cups, milk claw comprising constant vacuum chamber, atmospheric pressure chamber, and variable vacuum chamber which serves simultaneously as chamber for drive of membrane-valve assembly including membrane connected through rod with milk valve and air valve, and pulsator comprising control chamber with throttle. Variable vacuum chamber of milk claw is divided into two parts. One part of variable vacuum chamber is made, for example, annular so that remaining other part makes individual chamber for drive of membrane-valve assembly along which through channel is provided. Said channel is adapted for connecting constant vacuum chamber with chamber for drive of membrane-valve assembly communicated with atmosphere through gauged air suction opening. Constant vacuum chamber is separated from variable vacuum chamber by membrane of milk claw control chamber, said membrane being pinched by outer edge of annular chamber.
EFFECT: increased efficiency by ensuring timely intensive massaging of animal's teats and udder, improved safety, increased milk yield with minimal dependence upon teat sizes, udder shape and hardness in milking of some cows.
