FIELD: experimental and clinic medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: placing a pair of electrodes on a patient's head over a predetermined portion of brain, connecting the electrodes to an electric voltage amplifier, reading out electric DC potential values at the beginning and the end of shift and comparing them between each other. The method is characterized in that at the beginning and the end of shift of DC potential level the amplifier input is substantially instantaneously shunted by an electric shunt of about 104 Ohm. Comparing amplification reduction occurring at instantaneously shunting the amplifier input at the beginning and at the end of shift provides excluding measurement error resulting from instability of interelectrode skin potential detected from instability of skin resistance for at the shunted input of amplifier a shift depends on head skin resistance and at non-shunted input a shift doesn't depend on head skin resistance thus increasing recording accuracy. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 1 dwg
