FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method comprises the steps of applying a cuff of peritoneal-aponeurotic flap to pancreas stump, fixing said cuff to the gland, applying anastomosis without capturing the gland tissue, compressing the underlying gland tissue with the cuff until arterial blood ceases to flow from gland parenchyma incision, then decompressing it until blood flow is resumed, and applying anastomosis between cuff and small intestine. The device for applying pancreatojejunoanastomosis comprises casing with thrust and working jaws, pusher, magazine with agraffes, and longitudinally-movable retainer installed on casing. Stationary retainer installed on end of thrust jaw has the form of U-shaped plate while movable retainer consists of main and auxiliary Z-shaped plates, both retainers being installed in relatively intersecting planes.
