FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming a carpet which is compacted in moulds for 1 minute at specific pressure 2.5-5.0 MPa. Then a texture layer from a granular quartz containing material, for example, granite, 0,5-3 mm thick is laid on the surface of a partly formed board-base. The board is hot pressed at temperature of 160-180 C in moulds for 1.5- 3.0 minutes per 10 mm of thickness of the compacted wood carpet. The texture layer of resulting two-layer boards is fused by a flow of a low-temperature plasma at plasma core power of 65-76,8 kW and at an article speed of 0.08-0.17 m/s. After the texture layer is plasma-treated a glassy decorative fireproof coating is formed. EFFECT: improved quality. 1 tbl
