FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: patient stares fixedly at light source and light spot is received onto the cornea during operation by means of microscope. Visual range laser source is used as light source. Beam of the laser is introduced into optical channel of microscope. Laser spot is formed in the place of crossing with optical axis of microscope. Patient's stare is directed onto this spot. When the stare is fixed correct then only one light spot may be seen onto the cornea which has to be the optical center of the cornea. If two spots are available, fixation of the stare should be changed till coincidence of the spots in one spot. If there is a turbid medium in the eye the neon-helium laser should be used as light source. EFFECT: improved precision of stare fixation. 2 cl, 2 cl, 1 dwg
