FIELD: machining of metals. SUBSTANCE: cutter holder has cutting plate fastening unit and insert made from polymeric material. Cutters is provided with light guide, which is rigidly secured in insert. Insert has slots, through which light guide is passed. One end of light is adapted for connection with light energy source and other end is adapted for connection with machine control system.
