FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: membrane unit for application has a rectangular supporting contour in plan, rests on pillars, placed in the unit corners, a membrane fixed to the contour along its perimeter, corners cross-bars. The supporting contour and cross-bars are made of channel or I-beam cross-section members. The membrane is fixed to upper or lower flange of the supporting contour with eccentricity of 1/60 -1/100 of vertical span and of 1/200 - 1/1000 of horizontal span. Cross-bars are located in the corners of application and spaced by 1/10 - 1/15 of a span. Besides, supporting contour may be made of two frames, placed at an angle to each other with the upper rise of 0.08 - 0.15 of the unit span, rigidly joined in the upper corners and joined by tighteners in the lower corners. In this case supporting contour members simultaneously are cross-bars of cross and longitudinal frames of a building skeleton. The contour frames may be joined in lower corners by tie rods. In this case tighteners are placed with a vertical eccentricity in relation to the axis of the contour equalled to 1/100 - 1/300 of application unit span. The tighteners may have a broken form in plan and be coming together in points, located under the centers of the contour frames, and joined with the membrane by vertical guy-ropes.
