FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: cornice unit of a building comprising metal frames formed from double-tee pillars and crossbars, includes a crossbar installed on a pillar and equipped above shelves of pillars with end and support ribs and is rigidly connected with the pillar by means of flanges, one of which is welded to the lower shelf of the crossbar, and the other one - to the pillar end. Both flanges in plan protrude beyond pillar dimensions, at least along its wall with formation of a pillar shelf at the outer side and an end rib of the cantilever sections crossbar with identical length with supporting stiffening ribs, arranged in the plane of pillar and crossbar walls. The unit is equipped with a spacer of the closed cross section, having a flange at the end with a sheet gusset plate rigidly attached to it at the right angle, and perpendicularly to the crossbar wall there is a plate fixed connected with the gusset plate. At least one of flanges is equipped with an additional stiffening rib.

EFFECT: improved reliability of unit operation.
