FIELD: steam generators. SUBSTANCE: furnace has case 1 with combustion chamber 2 and grate forming grating space together with case. Case 1 mounts vertical barriers 5, 6 and horizontal barrier 7 forming ducts 8, 9, 10, 11 for passing furnace gases, their intercommunication being provided through grating space and above grate level. Walls of case 1 have ports 15, 16 to admit air for burning and smoke flue. When furnace is operating, fuel burns on grate. Products of combustion and gasification are evacuated from combustion chamber 2 through downtake channel 8 to grating space wherefrom most light part enriched by oxygen immediately returns through channel 8 to chamber 3. Other part is discharged through channel 10 and bifurcated; one flow goes to smoke flue and other circulates over channel 10 to grating space and further to combustion chamber 2. EFFECT: improved efficiency of fuel combustion due to multiple circulation of products of combustion. 2 cl, 3 dwg
