FIELD: heat engineering. SUBSTANCE: evaporating and condensing zones of heat exchanger communicate through converging tubes pointed with their constricted ends to condensing zone. Evaporating zone is made in form of horizontal vessel, and condensing zone, in form of tubes with spherical stoppers and curvilinear inner surface. Radial grooves of variable depth and width are made on stoppers. Longitudinal grooves are made on inner surface of tubes arranged in condensing zone. Grooves are covered by fine-mesh wire gauze. Summary depth of grooves and thickness of gauze is equal to maximum depth of grooves on stopper. Thickness of stopper walls is greater than thickness of tube walls.
