FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: coefficient of optical coupling between illuminating and detecting light conductors is varied within section between end of interconnected light conductors and reflecting bottom of bowl in case of temperature variation. Fiber-optic temperature transducer has illuminating and detecting light conductors interconnected on one end and placed in bowl provided with bottom affording mirror reflection of light; their opposite ends are connected, respectively, to light source and photodetector. Both light conductors are enclosed in water-tight sleeve; butt end off interconnected light conductors is located near bowl bottom at distance equal to haft the light conductor core diameter d. Bowl and light conductors are made of materials having coefficients of thermal expansion β1 and β2, respectively; ends of interconnected light conductors are fixed within bush and the latter is secured in bowl; butt end of bush is spaced l1=l2+d/2 from bowl bottom, where l2 is length of leads of interconnected light conductors related to l1 by expression l1β1-l2β2=α·d/2, where α is transducer sensitivity. Bowl interior is formed by its wall and surface of leads of interconnected light conductors; it communicates through drain hole with sleeve interior. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 dwg
