FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing of aluminooxide carrier with salts of hydrogenating metals (nickel and molybdenum) in the presence of boric acid following by drying and firing under optimal conditions of synthesis. Aluminium borate is used as a carrier, which is prepared by treatment of technical aluminium trihydrate in "boiling" layer. Temperature raising is carried out at the rate 50-70 C/h for 1-6 h following by peptization of products of thermal treatment in acid medium at pH 2-4, 135-200 C for 1-20 h. Product is treated with boric acid at pH 5-7 and 80-90 C. EFFECT: improved method of catalyst making.
