FIELD: glass manufacturing. SUBSTANCE: device has a roller conveyer including shortened rolls provided outside a forming rail for feeding a glass sheet into position over the forming rail, auxiliary separate rolls disposed inside the space defined by the forming rail for maintaining the sheet from the inside of the forming rail. The device furthermore has a mechanism for supporting and driving into motion the inner auxiliary rolls to provide vertical movement of the forming rail between the inner auxiliary rolls and outer shortened rolls.
