FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes preheating the natural gas prior to injecting it into the hot air flow enriched with oxygen. Preheating is effected by addition of steam having temperature of 300-600 C and volume equal 10-50% of that of the natural gas. Then mixture is delivered to a cooler where condensation is carried out and the moisture is removed. The cooler outlet natural gas temperature is maintained at 85-150 C, and the moisture content at 25% at most. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
