FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining nickel concentration in solution sample after precipitation and sampling with subsequent determining of nickel concentration after expiration of 0.1-0.3 of precipitation time; calculating the difference between concentration values of the first and second determinations. Upon obtaining negative value of difference, consumption of primer should be increased; when positive value of difference is obtained, consumption of primer should be reduced. The primer is fed in combination with polysulfidethiosulfate precipitator in an amount directly proportional to the difference obtained. EFFECT: reduced consumption of precipitator and decreased loss of non ferrous metals with flotation tailings. 1 dwg
