SUBSTANCE: method involves steps of sampling a specific volume of fuel, measuring its optical density, passing through a layer of silica gel, remeasuring the optical density. The cloud temperature is calculated from the formula: X=K(D1-D2)-54,4, where X is the cloud temperature of diesel fuel, K is the coefficient equal to the tangent of the angle between the line and the abscissa axis, D1 and D2 are the values of optical density before and after passing through the silica gel layer, 54.4 is the experimental coefficient corresponding to zero value of the difference between the optical densities.
