FIELD: metal rolling. SUBSTANCE: rolling mill has a working cage with two parallel rolls, connected with output rolls of combined reduction gear by two spindles. The reduction gear has spiral synchronizing and reducing steps, a mechanism of step-free match of the rolls periods and a driving engine. Reducing steps of the reduction gear are made as gears with similar direction of the line of its teeth being in engagement. The gears are mounted on the reduction gear output rolls, located in the plane of the working cage rolls. One gear is connected with driving electric engine by the reduction gear box synchronizing step gear. The other one is connected with a toothed ring, interlocked with the second synchronizing gear with opposite direction of the teeth lines. The second gear is capable of free rotation on an axis, supplied with a mechanism of longitudinal movement. EFFECT: it improves reliability of the rolling mill. 2 dwg
