FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method provides for a trunnion rolling up, ingot positioning, ingot squeezing up to get three rays form of its cross-section with concaves in sides, ingot broaching by rolling reduction of projections. Then the three ray ingot broaching is carried out with simultaneous ingot reduction in three directions along axes of the ingot at angle of 120 deg. between them. Intervals between passes are used for ingot turning in series at angles of 60, 30 and 60 deg. . The broaching process is going on up to the moment the ingot gets right hexahedral and then duodehedral form of its cross section. EFFECT: method is used for metal processing by pressure. 9 dwg
