FIELD: metal pressure working. SUBSTANCE: method of forging-grade ingots forging includes roll-on of the stem, preparation of billet, preliminary drawing to produce a four-ray cross section profile, and final forging. The ingot is forged by means of simultaneous pressing- in of four strikers from four directions aiming towards the billet axis and inclined to each another at an angle of 90 deg. The preliminary drawing is effected at the deformation ratio laying in the range 20-50% , with strikers having convex working surfaces and the working section width ranging from 0.4 to 0.6 of ingot diameter. Billet preparation and the final forgery is performed by strikers having concave working surface. EFFECT: improved forging technology. 3 cl
