FIELD: machine-tool engineering. SUBSTANCE: guide protective device has telescopic shields mounted on stationary guides with the aid of support members. In each shield one support member is made in the form of bracket with rollers and the second in the form of strap. Support member with bracket has strap extending through entire shield length and interacting with C-shaped guard guide, lower internal surface of which is provided with V-shaped groove engageable with spherical spring-loaded roller mounted in bracket. Placed under set of telescopic shield is rolling up tape. Number of V-shaped grooves in C-shaped guide in one set of telescopic shields corresponds to number of movable shields each groove being engageable with two rollers of shield. In other set of telescopic shields both support members are made in the form of bracket with one spring-loaded roller and strap; in one support member roller is engageable with V-shaped groove, which is common for all shields, and in other support member roller of bracket is mounted in such a way that axis of its rotation is perpendicular to axis of rotation of roller of the first support member.
