FIELD: tailoring industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes the following stages: thread reeling out of bobbin, treatment of thread surface with balls of thermoplastic materials while rotating cone-shaped vessel round the thread, thread passing over guide units of sewing machine, and direction of thread to seam. Device realizes the method by receiving motion from main shaft and rotating cone-shaped vessel round the thread. EFFECT: improved quality of thread surface due to treatment with thermoplastic polymer material, reduced labor input and power consumption, higher productivity of labor due to reduced rupture of threads. 7 cl, 3 dwg
