FIELD: textile and clothing industries; applicable in treatment of yarn and threads for manufacture of textile, knitted and garment products, both, of household and special applications. SUBSTANCE: method consists in unwinding of yarn and threads from bobbins, application to them of process preparation in cone-shaped vessel and drying. Degreased oil of vegetable origin is applied with use of balls made of nondeformed material. Oil is applied to balls by drops with interval of 1 to 20 drops per minute, and balls are to fill cone-shaped vessel from 1/6 to 2/3 of its capacity. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 8 dwg, 2 tbl
