FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: in quasi-optical vibration gyrotron electron beam 2 passes along axis 3 of electron beam, is compressed with static magnetic field and is forced into rotation. As a result of it electron beam excites electromagnetic variable field with preset frequency in quasi-optical resonator. Resonator has two mirrors 6, 7 placed opposite to each other, put on axle 8 of resonator perpendicular to axis 3 of electron beam. To produce radiation in wide frequency range each of mirrors 6, 7 of resonator is attached to holder 14, 15 together with at least one of mirrors 12, 13. Two reciprocally corresponding and tuned to desired frequency mirrors 12, 13 can be positioned on axle of resonator with the aid of mobile holders 14, 15 to control certain frequency of variable field. One holder which can turn by principle of revolving head carries up to six mirrors which can turn around rotational axis in parallel axle of resonator.
