FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: metal casing of tool and insert for forming interior cavity of the abrasive-containing part of the tool are placed in technological mold, furnace charge containing powder of metallized abrasive is field into the gap between the mold and the insert, a certain weight of impregnating metal or alloy is placed in the gap, and the above mentioned materials are heated and held in vacuum furnace. After being placed in the mold the furnace charge is wetted with binder, compacted and coated with layer of metal powder through the weights of impregnating metal or alloy placed in the gap. The mass M of the furnace charge is determined from the relationship M=(2÷4)ma, where ma - the mass of the weight of the abrasive-containing furnace charge. The heating is performed under pressure not exceeding 0.133 Pa up to the temperature of 800-11700 C at a rate of 15-20 C/min, and holding is performed during 1-4 min.
