FIELD: measuring equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves making a blank by centrifugal casting at a hardening rate of 0.2-0.25 mm/s with simultaneous delivery of metal throughout the length of mold so that the layer of liquid metal therein grows faster than the hardening rate by at least 1.0 mm/s. Metal is poured through lap gate with the length of opening equal to at least 0.9 of blank length. Diameter of blank is at least 20 times larger than its thickness while thickness of blank wall does not exceed the specimen thickness by more than 10% . Pouring is carried out at a gravitation coefficient not under 50 and metal is protected by inert gas. EFFECT: production of a large number of standard specimens with identical chemical composition, homogeneous structure and uniform distribution of phases throughout blank cross section. 5 cl, 1 tbl
