FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: crimping press has two crimping shafts, smooth pressure roller, gluing device, guide rod and moistener located between the rod and upper crimping shaft and having a chamber with guide ribs that is connected to the moistening medium supply line and has holes directed upward towards the bed of the source material. The moistener is provided with a moistening medium supply regulator device having three successively arranged cylinders and connected by their rods, and a constant level branch-pipe. The branch-pipe is connected to a fixed member conjugated with a lead screw by means of nut; the lead screw has a rotary motion drive. The constant level branch-pipe is provided with a system indicating its position. The lower chamber of the lower cylinder is positioned below the moistener chamber and, through lines having check valves, it is connected to the moistener chamber and upper chamber of the middle cylinder, which at the same time is connected to the constant level branch-pipe through a line provided with a controllable check valve. The lower chamber of the upper cylinder has a controllable slide valve connected to it. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 3 cl, 3 dwg
