FIELD: vehicles. SUBSTANCE: quite healthy contact wire is made of two straighten contact wires removed from exploitation because of exhaustion. Wore surfaces of the wires are dressed, self-fluxing solder is applied, then the surfaces are pressed one to the other by means of roller stand, after that they are heated by means of gas burner-wires are connected together by the solder to form single monolithic wire. This monolithic wire is mechanically crimped by roller table to form preset profile, after that the wire is reinforced by cold working. Ready wire is tested for strength of its connection by means of control unit which has solenoid provided with two coils and contact detector. When current is transmitted along tested section of wire, the shredding forces are induced in the wire. If peeled element is detected, then contact detector generates malfunction signal through control unit and device will be stopped. After the reject is recovered as well as the cause of the reject the device for processing the rest of disconnected wires turns on. EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation. 2 cl, 6 dwg
