FIELD: materials handling equipment; load-gripping devices for fork-lift trucks operating in warehouses, ports, railway tracks. SUBSTANCE: clamshell for fork-lift truck has pair of shells 1 and 2 connected in scissors-like manner. Axle of shell joint is installed on movable rod 12 engaging with brake beams 13 furnished with cable drive engaging with mechanism used to change tilting of fork-lift truck frame. Forks 8 of fork-lift truck installed on movable carriage 9 engage with drive levers installed on shells by means of slots in platform which has bays for forks.
