FIELD: cryogenic engineering. SUBSTANCE: granules of solid polymer are placed in reservoir for cryogenic fluid; cryogenic fluid is used as filling solvent for this polymer. During interaction with cryogenic fluid, solid polymer changes to the jelly-like state and forms heat-insulating layer on the surface of fluid which prevents the fluid from splashing and spilling during transportation and filling of reservoir and considerably reduces flows of heat from gas cushion to fluid surface, thus considerably reducing evaporation of cryogenic fluid in reservoir.
