FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: oil separator in the compression refrigerating plant is made in form of heat-exchange reservoir built in between refrigerating agent receiver and evaporator of the plant. Construction of oil separator makes it possible to realize operation of several versions of refrigerating plant which provide for efficient cleaning of the refrigerating agent ( which is in the liquid state during normal operation of plant ) of oil, air and permanent gas. Temperature drop created in heat exchange reservoir of oil separator due to evaporation of the refrigerating agent from mixture of oil and refrigerating agent during the oil separation process is used for cooling the refrigerating agent supplied to the evaporator of refrigerating plant.
